This book has some really great ideas for pie irons. I love the full color picture of each recipe. I was hoping for some actual pie iron cooking tips, but this was all about putting the food in the pie iron and not how to actually cook it. I had never used a pie iron before and the idea is quite simple. So after a little bit of trial and error we made some great meals.Product details

Fun recipes that are actually good. Takes a bit to figure out the rate of cooking.
If you're new to camping I suppose this would be a great book to get you started. We got a couple of new ideas out of it. Most of what's in there requires you to have canned biscuits or other already prepared food to start with. Pretty simple cooking ideas we already knew about and most of what we make is made from scratch. If you already know about cast iron cooking you probably won't be impressed with this book. If you're new to camping you'll love it!
This was a fun gift for my brother in law. We go to a cabin every year and make pie irons for most of our meals. It is a great addition so we can do more than just pizza pie irons! Great pictures and easy recipes.

I am new to pie-iron cooking and was looking for a recipe book to get my feet wet. This book fit the bill perfectly. This is a high quality book with beautiful photos and easy-to-follow recipes. I realize there are hundreds of recipes on the internet, but it's really nice to have a bound physical book that I can take along on a camping trip. The small size of this book is perfect for that. I look forward to trying all the tasty-looking recipes.
